Clubs

Student participation in clubs helps to build student confidence and provides a sense of accomplishment! Clubs not only offer students additional learning opportunities, they foster creative thinking, develop communication skills, promote an opportunity to work effectively with others, and build friendships outside of inner circles!  We strongly encourage students to get involved in an area that most interests them.  We have several clubs to choose from.

Student Council - Students are selected by teachers to represent their peers and participate in leadership activities that include planning and organizing service projects.  The purpose of Student Council is to train students in the duties and responsibilities of good citizenship.

National Junior Honor Society - Students are selected by teachers and administrators for good grades and community involvement.  Student development focuses on leadership and good citizenship skills. Membership in NJHS does not guarantee membership in high school.

SADD Club - "Students Against Destructive Decisions" is a club that empowers students to engage in positive changes through leadership and smart decision- making.  This provides many opportunities for students to actively volunteer for community service projects.

Yearbook Club - All activities focus on the construction of the yearly yearbook to include taking pictures, drawing layouts, editing photographs, writing, and promotion of yearbook sales.

Arts and Crafts Club- Students meet once per month to complete an art or craft project together after school.

Academic Bowl Club- Students who are demonstrating proficiency in language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science are eligible to participate in Academic Bowl.  The students meet in the second semester in teams and then compete in May at the Middle School Academic Bowl Competition.

Musical Production - Students may audition for the musical production.  Performers and stage crew members are needed!
